The programme.

The B.Sc. Cybersecurity equips students to mitigate threats, gather forensic evidence, and raise the security posture of computers and the systems built on them. It shares a foundation year with the faculty's other computing degrees before specialising from the second year.

Nigeria's financial and logistics sectors are among the most attacked in West Africa, and the shortfall in qualified defenders is the reason this degree exists. Teaching is exercise-driven: students run live incident-response scenarios in a purpose-built lab on the Apapa campus.

Graduates leave able to reason about an adversary rather than merely operate a tool, which is the difference between a security analyst and a security engineer.
