What this website collects, why, and what we do not do with it.
This policy describes the current behaviour of this website. It is pending review by NUTM's legal counsel before launch.
The Nigerian University of Technology and Management operates this website. This page sets out what personal information the site collects, why it is collected, and how it is handled. It covers this website only. Applications made through the admissions system, and anything you send us by email, are handled under the university's wider records practice.
What the site collects
Browsing this site does not require you to identify yourself. The only place the site asks for personal information is the contact form, which collects the details you type into it:
- Your first and last name
- Your email address
- Your telephone number and dialling code, if you provide one
- The subject you select and the message you write
That information is used to answer you and to route your enquiry to the right team: admissions, executive education, partnerships or the registry. It is not sold, and it is not used for advertising.
What the site does not do
- No advertising or marketing trackers are loaded.
- No profile is built from your browsing of this site.
- No personal information is sold or rented to anyone.
- Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play on a video, and the player used is the no-cookie one.
Storage in your browser
The site stores one flag in your browser's session storage to remember that you have already seen the opening animation, so it does not replay on every page. It is cleared when you close the tab, contains nothing about you, and is never sent to a server.
Third parties
Video is served by YouTube, and only after you choose to play it. At that point YouTube's own privacy terms apply to the playback. Email you send to a nutm.edu.ng address is handled by the university's email provider.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to info@nutm.edu.ng and we will respond.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes will be described rather than quietly substituted.
