Registry & Admissions

Admissions Officer

Own an applicant's experience from first enquiry to enrolment, across the UTME, direct entry and postgraduate routes.

The post.

Admissions is a ten-person university's front door. Whoever holds this post is, for most applicants, the only person they deal with before they arrive, which makes the quality of that correspondence a recruitment tool rather than an administrative task.

You would work across all three entry routes: UTME through JAMB, direct entry and transfer above 100 level, and postgraduate. Each carries a different documentary burden and a different clock.

What you would do

  • Process applications end to end: acknowledge, check documents, chase what is missing, and record decisions.

  • Verify JAMB result slips, O'Level results and transcripts, and escalate anything irregular.

  • Answer applicant and parent enquiries by email and phone, inside the published response window.

  • Keep the applicant record accurate enough that reporting off it can be trusted.

  • Support open days, campus visits and the enrolment period at the start of each session.

What we need from you

  • A bachelor's degree, and at least two years in admissions, registry or a comparable case-handling role.

  • A working knowledge of the Nigerian admissions system: JAMB, UTME, direct entry and NUC requirements.

  • Written English good enough that your correspondence represents the university well.

  • Comfort with a student record system, and with spreadsheets other people rely on.

  • The right to work in Nigeria.

What would also help

  • Experience inside a Nigerian university's registry.

  • Exposure to postgraduate or international admissions.

What to attach

  • A CV.

  • A covering letter.

  • Optional: anything that evidences your written work, such as a sample letter or a process you documented.
