Adjunct Lecturer, Operations & Logistics
Teach operations and logistics in intensive blocks alongside your existing post, on a campus inside Nigeria's largest container port.
The post.
Most of our teaching is delivered by academics who hold a post somewhere else and come here in blocks. It is how the syllabus stays current, and it is the route most of our faculty came in through.
The subject matter for this one is on the other side of the wall. The campus sits inside the Apapa port complex, and the operations modules are taught against it rather than against a case from somewhere else.
What you would do
Deliver one or more modules in intensive blocks, agreed against your own calendar a term ahead.
Set and mark the assessment for the modules you teach, to the published rubric.
Hold office hours across the block, in person or online, for the students on your module.
Feed back on the module's content each cycle so the syllabus keeps moving.
What we need from you
A master's or doctorate in operations, logistics, supply chain or industrial engineering, or equivalent senior practice.
A current post, academic or industry, that this would sit alongside.
Prior teaching or structured training experience with adult learners.
Availability for at least one intensive block per academic year, on campus in Apapa.
What would also help
Direct operating experience in ports, freight, manufacturing or distribution in West Africa.
Case material of your own that you would be willing to teach from.
What to attach
A CV, naming your current post.
A covering letter saying which module you would teach and what you would bring to it.
Optional: an outline of the module as you would run it.
