Faculty of Management
Accounting, business administration, entrepreneurship and economics, with the MBA in leadership, technology and entrepreneurship above them.
What the faculty is for.
The Faculty of Management teaches four bachelor's degrees and NUTM's MBA. Its subject is how organisations actually work and, more often, why they do not.
Case teaching runs throughout, drawn from Nigerian and West African firms rather than imported wholesale from another economy. The quantitative training is deliberately heavier than is typical for management degrees, because a manager who cannot interrogate an analyst's work cannot manage one.
Entrepreneurship is not a single module here. Venture design runs through every degree in the faculty, and the entrepreneurship degree is structured around a venture that develops with the student across three years.
Judgement, taught deliberately
Students move from the mechanics of accounting and operations to the decisions those mechanics inform, and are assessed on the reasoning.
Africa as the primary case
Currency, subsidy, trade and informality are treated as the subject rather than as exceptions to a Western model.
A route into the MBA
The undergraduate degrees are built so that the strongest graduates can continue into NUTM's own MBA rather than leave to find one.
What it teaches.
Grouped by level, because that is how applicants arrive.
